Imaginal Cells release their cover of Rainbow's Gates of Babylon
Progressive Rock band Imaginal Cells have released a cover of Gates of Babylon by Rainbow. Gates of Babylon is the fourth in a series of covers Imaginal Cells have reimagined to pay homage to their greatest influences in advance of their debut original concept album release. Their cover demonstrates Imaginal Cells’ unique style and musical prowess, while approaching the song with great reverence and respect to the original, paying close attention to detail. Gates of Babylon is available on all platforms now.
“Covering rock and metal icons like Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore is not to be taken likely,” said Imaginal Cells singer and frontman Ethan Foxx. “I think we struck a nice balance between honoring their original performance and interpreting it in our unique way.”
In honor of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Imaginal Cells’ version of “Gates of Babylon” introduces the band to the legions of Classic Rock and Progressive Rock aficionados who similarly love the music that made them.
